Cardiac imaging provides detailed pictures of your heart to help detect problems early, monitor ongoing conditions, and guide the right treatment plan.
Outer Banks Health offers cardiology imaging services through the hospital and OBH outpatient services. OBH Cardiology patients may be referred by their provider. The following on-site cardiology services staffed by a registered nurse and nuclear medicine technologist. Emergency equipment and personnel are available at all times.
• Treadmill Exercise Stress Test
• Nuclear Medicine Stress Test — Treadmill, Lexiscan, Dobutamine
• Echocardiograms
• Stress Echocardiograms — Treadmill and Dobutamine
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms
• Elective Cardioversion
• Tilt Table Test
• EKG (outpatient)
Referral Information
All tests require a physician’s order. Orders can be faxed to 252-449-4539. Outer Banks Health physicians may submit orders via EPIC and the Central Referral Office.
