NAGS HEAD, N.C. — March 13, 2026 — The Outer Banks Stamp Club generously created and donated a stamp display inspired by the ThriveOBX Thrive5© pillars of well-being. The artwork features five stamp collections from past decades, each representing one of the five pillars: Nourish, Move, Purpose, Engage, and Balance.

The display invites viewers to draw a visual connection between the history preserved through philately (the collection and study of stamps) and the five principles of well-being. Every detail of the display is thoughtfully sorted, selected, arranged and handcrafted by club members, with paint colors carefully matched to the Thrive5 palette. The display hangs on the wall connecting the Outer Banks Health Hospital main lobby and the Emergency Department waiting area.

Outer Banks Health welcomed the display for all to enjoy as a creative, engaging, and educational piece celebrating both the art of stamp collecting and the importance of well-being. This unique contribution highlights how community partners can support the ThriveOBX mission of keeping well-being top of mind in the community in meaningful and inspiring ways.

About Outer Banks Health

Outer Banks Health is a growing health system that provides a range of health and wellness services for our community. Designed especially to meet the health needs of our coastal community, whose year-round population of 35,000 swells to over 250,000 in the summer season, we’re first in the state for patient satisfaction, first in the nation to pilot groundbreaking rural health cancer programs, and the very first to be designated a Dementia Friendly Hospital. We work with our partners, ECU Health and Chesapeake Regional Healthcare, along with other health organizations throughout North Carolina and Virginia, to help our residents and visitors access the best possible care for their diagnosis. Many times we deliver that care right here, close to home.
