Kelsey Senn, medical assistant at Family Medicine – Manteo, joined Outer Banks Health in September 2020. She started as a patient access representative before training to become a medical assistant for the practice.
She shows her patients compassion and always has an open ear for them when needed. Her patients know that she will advocate for them and always get them the answers they need. In addition to her patient care, Senn is known at the practice as their energizer bunny!
With her eagerness to learn, Senn has completed the SPICE (Statewide Program for Infection Control & Epidemiology) course, specifically designed for outpatient settings and is the designated Infection Control on-site person at her clinic. Her efforts go above and beyond in creatively educating her team on key infection prevention concepts.
Senn is a team player; always stepping up to cover any position when needed and always volunteers to come in on days off to cover both clinical and admin team members. She makes every team celebration special with her artistic talents by creating posters, gifts, and is Manteo’s Pumpkin Contest guru!
“Her proactive approach and dedication to infection control has made a significant impact,” commented one of Senn’s team members. They continued, “Her team is fortunate to have such a committed person.” Another stated, “She is a special part of our team and an asset to the organization.”
