Kaylee Thomas, Point of Service Specialist at the Center for Healthy Living, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s June, 2020 Employee of the Month. She began working at TOBH in April, 2019 and is a graduate of East Carolina University.

According to other members of the Center for Healthy Living team, Thomas has been an amazing addition to the clinic. She goes above and beyond every day to ensure that the Center is running smoothly, including helping with provider schedules and keeping patients updated during the pandemic.

Thomas works hard each day to provide exceptional customer service to patients. She is the smiling face that greets them when they enter the clinic and the cheerful voice they hear when they call. She has received numerous compliments from patients for her kindness, patience, and ability to help them navigate the technology needed to have a virtual visit.

In addition to the above, Thomas takes ownership of her work and goes the extra mile to add special touches to her projects. She pays attention to detail and sees that everyone’s needs are met each day. Thomas has also played a vital role in the resource pool during the pandemic and is a member of the Patient Experience Team.

Upon hearing that she had been chosen as the June Employee of the Month, Thomas stated, “I am beyond honored to be named the Employee of the Month.” She continued, “I take pride in my work and in being a team member. It’s easy to be a team player when you work with such an amazing group every day. Without my team I would not be where I am today!”
