Debbie Jernigan joined Outer Banks Health Internal Medicine in July 2017. Since becoming part of the team, she has made a tremendous impact. She is thorough, dependable, and quick to learn. Her dedication goes beyond expectations, making each day smoother and brighter for everyone.

She has made a significant difference in increasing patient care by tackling all the VA authorizations, and has recently begun taken classes to improve her knowledge of insurance and working with the VA.

Jernigan is wonderful at communicating with her team and the patients. She is always efficient, organized, and compassionate. She is known to come to work early to prep for the day ahead, constantly with a smile on her face. Her addition to the Internal Medicine team has positively impacted everyone. Her thoughtfulness is appreciated beyond measure.

Since joining the organization, Jernigan serves as an outstanding representative of our ICEAST values. “Debbie is truly the clinic’s ‘go-to’ for anything and everything we might ever need” shared a team member. Another added, “She is such a valued part of our office.”
