Chris Allen, Police Officer with Vidant Health Company Police, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s February, 2020 Employee of the Month. Allen is from Currituck and started with the Vidant Police at The Outer Banks Hospital in November of 2016.
Allen always has a happy disposition and brings a smile to stressful events affecting the staff. He responds to emergent situations in a timely manner and he has great presence in the department.
He has good instincts about patients, especially when situations are beginning to change. Allen takes his role in the hospital very seriously and it is evident from his work ethic. He is willing to help with minor tasks that can make a significant difference. From taking specimens to the lab or guiding family members to rooms and the lobby, Allen does the little things that help ensure a well-functioning ED.
Allen is a good example of our values and always going above and beyond. Upon hearing that he had been chosen as the February, 2020 Employee of the Month, Allen stated, “I am honored to accept this award, not for me, but for my family at The Outer Banks Hospital. This award is made possible because of teamwork and collaboration between all departments.”
