Nags Head, NC – March 1, 2026 – Forbes joined the Outer Banks Health Radiology team in April 2022 and has since become an essential member of the department. Colleagues say her reliability and calm presence have made her a trusted resource across the organization.

Her leadership has been especially evident during high-pressure situations, including staying beyond her scheduled hours to support the PET team during major IT outages. Her efforts ensured imaging was uploaded correctly, documentation was completed and patient exams were finalized, safeguarding patient care during critical disruptions.

Despite the challenges, Forbes maintained attention to detail and upheld quality standards. Her diligence protected both care quality and patient safety during moments when workflow disruptions could have had serious consequences.

Team members describe Forbes as consistently positive, composed and approachable, even during the busiest periods. She is known for greeting patients and colleagues with a genuine smile and for stepping in wherever help is needed, whether within Radiology or in support of other departments.

In addition to her technical expertise, Forbes is recognized for her strong work ethic, integrity and commitment to doing what is right. She follows up, asks clarifying questions and ensures no detail is overlooked. Leaders say she embodies the organization’s ICEAST values and serves as a role model for others.
