Amanda Stewart joined Outer Banks Health in July 2020. Since joining the Urgent Care team, she has proven to be an invaluable member. Her compassion is apparent in every interaction, whether by offering a smile, listening intently, or advocating for patients’ needs. She provides a sense of comfort and reassurance to her patients. She practices direct communication, balancing both honesty and respect, while always focusing on shared goals and understanding.

Dedicated to continuous learning, Stewart is preparing to earn an Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification. She also earned her infection control certification last year. She is a reliable and hardworking team player, always ready to go above and beyond. Whether it’s picking up extra shifts or stepping in when needed, her commitment to her colleagues is unwavering. She never hesitates to perform extra tasks such as mopping a floor, using her creativity to plan our annual pumpkin submission, or decorating for patient safety week.

Since joining the organization, Amanda serves as an outstanding representative of our ICEAST values. “Amanda exemplifies the heart and soul of nursing,” shared a team member. Another added, “Her passion for learning, coupled with her genuine care and exceptional work ethic, makes Amanda an outstanding nurse who consistently goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those she touches.”
