Community Flu Vaccines and Wellness Screenings
Outer Banks Health is offering FREE flu vaccines and wellness screenings to community members ages 18 to 64. Walk-in clinics will take place starting in September 2023 (see list below). No appointment is needed and vaccines/screenings will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please continue to check back as clinics are continuously added. Questions? Vaccine Information:
Quadrivalent influenza vaccines will be administered at all Flu events. These vaccines are designed to protect against four different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses.
We STRONGLY recommend that individuals ages 65+ receive the High Dose Quadrivalent Flu Vaccine this year. Please note that these clinics do NOT administer the High Dose Quadrivalent Flu Vaccine and are unable to offer the flu vaccine to those individuals ages 65+ as they are encouraged to see their provider or local pharmacy for the higher dose flu vaccines.
