COVID-19 – CARING FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS
VISITATION AND RESTRICTIONS
Thank you for trusting The Outer Banks Hospital to care for you and your loved ones. The safety of our patients, visitors and team members is our top priority. As we continue to monitor and respond to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking steps to ensure the safety of all. The Outer Banks Hospital remains vigilant with its screening process for all visitors, entry requirements and visitor restrictions by department. This is an evolving situation and we continue to closely monitor local data, including COVID-19 cases in our area, and will adjust visitation restrictions accordingly.
COVID-19 VACCINES
The Dare County Department of Public Health is administering the COVID-19 vaccine. Please visit the Dare County website or call the Dare County COVID hotline at 252-475-5008 for more information about getting your COVID-19 vaccine here locally. The Outer Banks Hospital and Medical Group is not vaccinating community residents at this time as our resources are devoted to testing and treating COVID-19 patients.
MAIN LOBBY ENTRANCE
Our main lobby entrance is open Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 5:00pm. The emergency room entrance is open 24/7. (Note: You will not be able to access the emergency room from the main lobby door on the weekends.) Outpatient walk-in services are open.
VIRTUAL VISITS
The Outer Banks Medical Group is offering virtual visits (phone or computer) for established patients in order to continue care and limit potential exposure to the virus. If you are an established patient of an Outer Banks Medical Group practice and you need to be seen, please call the office to see what options are available to you and your unique situation. Visit /Locations for contact information. If you already have an appointment scheduled, our staff will be reaching out to you.
