Nags Head, NC – May 29, 2026 – Outer Banks Health proudly recognizes Ashley Mitchell, patient scheduling coordinator for Women’s Care, for her outstanding contributions to patient care and team operations.

Since joining the Women’s Care team in August 2021, Ashley has become a trusted and dependable resource, expertly managing complex scheduling needs while prioritizing patient safety. She supports front office staff, providers, clinical teams and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences.

Ashley is known for her proactive approach and adaptability. Recently, she demonstrated her dedication by working remotely during a snowstorm to successfully reschedule two full days of patient appointments without disrupting care. Her compassion and professionalism shine in every interaction, particularly in surgical scheduling, where patients and colleagues consistently praise her thoughtful support.

Beyond her primary role, Ashley extends her expertise to the Urology clinic and assists team members with insurance and registration questions, helping others better understand processes and build confidence.

An active member of the OBH Cultural Collaborative, Ashley contributes to strengthening workplace culture while consistently embodying the organization’s values.
