Nominate a Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a Horizon Award
The Outer Banks Health Office of Experience is now accepting nominations for the annual Horizon Awards which include Physician of The Year and Advanced Practice Provider of The Year. The awards, presented by Outer Banks Health, shall be bestowed upon an outstanding and dedicated Outer Banks physician and advanced practice provider who lives our values of integrity, compassion, education, accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Voting is open November 12 – December 3, 2025, online.
Nominee Criteria
We invite peers, team members, patients, and the community at large to submit nominations through December 3, 2025. Award recipients will be announced in January 2026.
A nominated physician or APP should demonstrate Patient Advocacy, Quality Initiatives, and Leadership/Mentoring.
Nominated individuals must have privileges at Outer Banks Health or be an ECU Health contracted provider.
